Chautauqua Lake’s fifth- and sixth-graders recently brought high-energy fun to the stage in “Zombies the Musical!” Directed by music teacher Katie Ryan, with Kim Siebert as assistant director and Fawn Schuster as stage manager, the show featured a cast of 52 enthusiastic students, telling the story of Zombie High, a school where human students and zombies learn to coexist. Through music, dance, and teamwork, spirited cheerleaders and zombie classmates formed unlikely friendships, breaking down stereotypes along the way. Supported by technical director Jennifer Davis and student helpers Evelyn Ryan and Cala Schuster, the performances on Nov. 7 and 8 showcased the talents of our young performers, who lit up the stage and delighted a full house. The production celebrated the creativity, collaboration, and spirit of Chautauqua Lake’s rising stars.
