I’m thrilled to inform you that the eclipses are finally in the rearview! The portal is closed—at least until next spring. But if your experience was anything like mine, there’s a lot to reckon with on the other side. This week sets the stage not only for the rest of the fall but for many months to come.
Mars, still in super emo Cancer, enters his retrograde shadow phase this week and begins traveling through the degrees of the zodiac he’ll visit not once, not twice, but three times over the next several months. Pay attention to what’s happening this week, especially in regards to Mars-type things (action, conflict, movement) as it will come back around in late February. Mercury squares off with Mars on the 6th—an aspect that brings “fighting words,” but in this moment also brings articulation to what this process will be for each of us.
The best day of this week is the 8th when Venus makes a harmonious trine to Mars and Mercury makes the same supportive aspect to Jupiter. If you’re looking for love or a settled contract, this influence brings easy meetings and peaceful agreements. Jupiter stations retrograde in Gemini on the 9th bringing curiosities that have been rapidly expanding since late May to a gentle pause.
Life may feel extreme by the end of the week because on the 11th, power planet Pluto stations direct in Capricorn for the final time in our lives. Through November 19, when Pluto enters Aquarius for good (for the next twenty years!), we’ll be closing out a chapter of destruction and transformation that’s been playing out since 2008! The final step in this process is owning the growth. Yes there’s a lot on the cosmic plate this week, but it’s all exciting. The way forward isn’t certain, but it’s starting to take shape.
