Sapey Golf & Country Club in Worcestershire, which boasts two golf courses and a holiday lodge park, has been put up for sale by owners Best Holdings Ltd for a guide price of £1.8m.

The sale, which is being handled by international real estate advisor Savills, is being brought to market in two lots, but can be bought as one or two individual businesses.

Lot 1 comprises an 18-hole, 5,917 yard, par-69 golf course and clubhouse, which is being marketed for a guide price of £1.25 million. Lot 2 comprises a 9-hole, 1, 203-yard golf course and four holiday lodges and has a guide price of £550,000.

Nestled within 108 acres of former agricultural land, Sapey Golf & Country Club was established in 1990, and provides an 18-hole golf course on 86 acres. The business was later enhanced by addition of a 9-hole par 3 course on an adjoining 22 acres, which today also accommodates four holiday lodges.

Acquired by its current proprietors in July 2017, the clubhouse offers an inviting and stylish space for weddings and events. Its recent two-story extension has significantly enlarged the golf professional shop with golf simulator studio, added a versatile new meeting room, and extended the balcony, offering views over the golf course.

The sale also includes four holiday lodges, which can be purchased as a separate lot or as part of the entire property

Sapey Golf & Country Club is located near Worcester, amidst the undulating hills of Herefordshire and Worcestershire. The Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty are also nearby, providing an idyllic setting that enhances the overall golfing experience.

Kay Griffiths, director in leisure and trading at Savills, commented: “Sapey Golf & Country Club offers a well-presented property and business in a spectacular location, making it an attractive asset for potential buyers.

“The current owners have invested heavily in the facility, creating a multipurpose venue, and there is further potential to enhance the function business with the recent addition of the wedding licence and to develop additional lodges, subject to obtaining planning permission.”
