CINCINNATI (WKRC)— Healthcare providers are inviting women to join them this weekend for a special wellness event aimed at empowering women with knowledge and resources for their health journeys. The event, part of the ongoing “Women and Medicine” education program, will take place at the TriHealth Fitness and Health Pavilion in Montgomery.
Dr. Kristen Coppage, TriHealth System Chief of Women’s Services, emphasized the importance of partnering with women in the community to ensure they have the necessary information to make informed healthcare decisions. “We feel it’s important to partner with the women of our community on their healthcare journey to make sure that they have the information that they need to make the appropriate decisions and to get the best care,” said Dr. Coppage. “So providing this women’s wellness event allows us to hopefully do that for our community.”
The event, titled “Women’s Wellness: Learn, Shop and Sip,” will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 8. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn through interactive booths, get mammograms, and participate in panel discussions addressing common health events women experience throughout their lives.
Dr. Coppage explained, “The way we’re going to do it is you’ll have the opportunity to learn through asking questions at different booths. You can get your mammogram while you’re there but we’re also going to have panel discussions where we will [address] the most common events where women experience throughout their lives.”
The event is free, but pre-registration is suggested to ensure a spot for those interested in learning, shopping, and sipping. You can regiater here.
