Members of the Wolfhurst Volunteer Fire Department conduct a pump training session beneath the Blaine Hill Bridge that carries U.S. 40 up and down the incline alongside the adjacent “S Bridge” that was named Ohio’s Bicentennial Bridge. The training helps new members learn the process and keeps veteran members’ skills sharp. The Blaine Hill Bridge is currently closed to westbound traffic and reduced to one lane of eastbound traffic as the Ohio Department of Transportation works on a solution to a recently discovered problem with the 1932 structure.
