For the second consecutive year, the Warwick Girls Varsity Crew team has won the Orange/Ulster Cup Regatta at Rockland Lake State Park on May 18th. The Girls Varsity boats dominated with a first place overall in the Girls 8 and the Girls Second 4.

Completing the regatta with a second-place in the Girls First 4 sealed the victory. These outstanding results gave the Warwick Girls the overall team win for the Orange/Ulster Cup. The Warwick boys varsity crew also put in good rows, led by the first-place Boys Varsity 4, followed by a second-place finish for the Boys Varsity 8.

On Sunday, May 19th, Warwick Crew continued to do well at the Hudson Valley Rowing League Novice Championships. The Boys 4 rowed to victory, with the Girls 4 securing a strong third place. Warwick’s Mixed 8 also took first in an exhibition race.

Warwick Crew also had a successful regatta at the New York State Scholastic Rowing Championships on May 11-12 at Saratoga Springs. The Warwick Crew Girls Varsity Straight Four, crewed by Abigail Kane, Nadia Ali, Riley Seijas, and Natalie Houston, brought home a silver medal in an event the girls do not normally compete in.

With over 80 New York teams and 550 boats competing, the New York State Championships is one of the largest state championships for rowing.

Rounding out the results, the Boys Varsity Straight Four, crewed by junior Beren Munkatchy and seniors Nicholas Rivera, Garrett Houston, and Killian Bauman, rowed to a third-place finish.
