This adaptation of Frank Herbert’s legendary sci-fi novel stands on the shoulders of Lord of the Rings and Kill Bill in the geeky friends telling me “actually, it’s one movie” hall of fame. Well, this time I agree, and the best way to watch this technical marvel of a film is on Blu Ray (or 4K). The full five hour and twenty minute “two-movie” collection is worth owning at full price, this was just a nice reminder to finally buy it. —B.G.
