If you don’t already know the name Nate Sandhart, you’re about to because this is someone who managed to sum up all the lore of Elden Ring in possibly the most entertaining way ever – and then set it to Taylor Swift.
I will cover this with as few spoilers as possible, but it is a lore video, so proceed cautiously. Essentially, Nate Sandhart, a professional Google Doodler by trade, retold the Elden Ring story in his uniquely eye-catching doodle style and set it to the lyrics of Taylor Swift’s Mastermind.
The video follows the demigod Miquella as a boy while he skips around the Lands Between, and the video is filled with more gags than the cartoons we all grew up with, and I’m living for it.
Nate Sandhart created the video in just over three weeks, and each scene was vigorously fact-checked before being included. However, the goal of the video wasn’t to contribute to the lore but to tell it in a fun and lighthearted way.
To that end, every time Nate got a part where he felt like there was an unanswered question, he would use his art skills to turn it into a little gag instead of trying to fill that gap with his own lore.
Since the video dropped on Nate’s YouTube channel, it has received an unexpected amount of love. The comment section is overflowing with fans of the game trying to catch all the jokes snuck into the video.
