Watkins Glen will use new funding to improve its water infrastructure and create jobs, Congressman Nick Langworthy announced. The village received an Economic Development Administration grant to upgrade its water system, which will benefit local businesses.
The grant will help restore Watkins Glen’s water storage tank and pump station, replace water lines, and make other necessary improvements. These upgrades will increase water capacity and support economic growth.
The grant, matched with $4.6 million in local funds, is expected to create and maintain 120 jobs, according to the EDA.
