BLUEFIELD, W.Va. (WVVA) – West Virginia American Water announced they will be replacing around 1,400 feet of water main in Princeton.
The infrastructure improvement project will take place on Hale Avenue in Princeton, and American Water said they are investing around $620,000 into the project. Work has already begun, and the project is expected to be done by the end of October.
The construction area is from Center Street to North Walker Street, to Hale Avenue, to Low Gap Road. American Water said crews will work Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and that traffic restrictions will be in place.
The upgrades will improve service reliability for American Water customers, which the company says will help reduce service disruptions.
During construction, customers may experience temporary service interruptions, discolored water, and/or lower than normal water pressure. Crews will work as quickly as possible to shorten the length of these temporary inconveniences. To report water related emergencies such as leaks, main breaks or other service disruptions, customers can submit a service request on the company’s website.
