Brockway eliminated Warren’s Boys Majors All-Stars, 7-6, on Thursday in the Little League District 10 11-and-12-year-old tournament at Betts-Jackson Field.

Due to rain on Wednesday, the Warren field hosted a doubleheader on Thursday with the Warren Girls minors first followed by the Boys Majors’ night game between Brockway and Warren.

The excitement ended with Brock Yale’s game-winning hit in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Yale also helped send the game to extra innings in Brockway’s three-run bottom of the fifth to tie the game at 6-6.

Brockway won the coin toss and the last at bats proved to be the difference.

Lang, Degan Peterson, Jack Abplanalp, Keegan Weissinger, and Matt Shippee had hits in Warren’s four-run top of the fifth to take a 6-3 lead. Weissinger’s two-run triple put Warren up with two outs and Shippee added a two-out RBI single.

Brockway scored three runs in the bottom half of the fifth on one hit, three walks and two Warren errors.

Yale’s game-winning hit in the bottom of the seventh followed teammate Cole Decker’s leadoff double.

After a 13-2 loss at St. Marys in their opener, Warren’s Boys Majors All-Stars were eliminated.

Warren Little League teams still alive in all-star tournament play:

After a 24-2 loss to DuBois on Thursday, Warren’s Girls Minors 8-10 Softball All-Stars next play in the losers bracket on Monday at a site to be determined against the loser of St. Marys and Bradford (playing Saturday).

After an 11-2 loss at Bradford on Thursday, Warren’s Boys Minors 8-10 Baseball All-Stars (2-1) will host Smethport/Jewett (2-1) in an elimination game at 8 p.m. today at Betts-Jackson Field.
