DUNKIRK — Silver Creek/Forestville’s Leah Mays won the girls race and Frewsburg’s Cody Kent won the boys race in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association cross country action at Point Gratiot Park.
Fredonia/Westfield won the girls team race with 24 points, followed by Mays’ Black Knights with 33 points. Frewsburg and Dunkirk were incomplete.
Fredonia/Westfield won the boys race with 20 points, followed by Silver Creek/Forestville with 41. Frewsburg and Dunkirk were also incomplete in the boys race.
Mays won the girls race in 21:31. Fredonia/Westfield’s top finisher was second-place Meredith Lendt (22:06), Frewsburg’s top finisher was fourth-place Grace Gilevski (23:21) and Dunkirk’s top finisher was sixth-place Hanan Mohamad Narvaez (23:47).

PANAMA — Ethan Verbosky led Maple Grove’s boys to a team win and the Red Dragons girls also won, led by second-place Evalyn Fessel at Jack Keeney Community Field.
Verbosky finished in 17:39 as Maple Grove won the boys race with 23 points. Jamestown was second with 49 points, led by third-place Clevon Wofford in 18:35.
Clymer/Sherman/Panama was third with 59 points, paced by sixth-place Finn Fadale in 19:44. Salamanca was incomplete. The Warriors’ top finisher was 15th-place Aiden George in 20:55.
Jamestown’s London Hamilton won the girls race in 22:04 as the Red & Green finished third with 44 points. FRANKLINVILLE — Gowanda’s Chase Bolen finished first in the boys race to lead the Panthers to the team victory, while Allegany-Limestone’s Elexa Duggan won the girls individual race and Franklinville/Ellicottville won the team race.
Bolen finished in 17:01 as Gowana won with 20 points. Franklinville/Ellicottville was second with 43 points, led by second-place Grant Cornell (17:22) and Olean was third with 76 points, led by sixth-place Cruz Clark (20:14). WEST VALLEY — Emma Lewis led Southwestern’s girls to a team victory, while Falconer/Cassadaga Valley won the boys race, led by fourth-place Gabe Lundmark.
Lewis finished in 20:29 as the Trojans tallied 21 points to lead the girls. Falconer/Cassadaga Valley was second with 38 points, led by eighth-place Morgan Robbins. Randolph, led by third-place Gracyn Rowland, was incomplete, as were host West Valley, paced by second-place Olivia Harmony, and Cattaraugus-Little Valley.
For the boys, West Valley’s Jack Tharnish finished first in 18:37 to lead his team to a second-place finish with 46 points. Falconer/Cassadaga Valley won with 31 points, paced by Lundmark in 20:21.
