CROSS LANES, W.Va. (WCHS) — An infrastructure upgrade project totaling $200,000 is in the works for Cross Lanes, utility officials said.
The replacement of 1,000 feet of water lines along Lincoln Drive from the end of the roadway to Big Tyler Road is underway, according to a news release from West Virginia American Water.
The news release said traffic will be impacted Monday through Friday between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. as crews work on the project.
The water company expects the new main to be connected by the end of this year and street restoration to be finalized in spring 2025.
Also in Cross Lanes, more than 1,300 feet of water main is being replaced along Greywood Drive.
The company noted customers may experience issues with service during construction, including discolored water and low water pressure.
