Jejene Narumpa stepped into a convenience store only to walk out with a viral video that’s still circulating on social media three years later. Because it’s just that good. Narumpa captured the moment a massive monitor lizard decided to climb a wall of merchandise in a Thailand grocery store, presumably to get closer to the air conditioning vents . . . or to that ice machine.
“No matter how high it is, I can reach it,” jokes Narumpa in her Facebook caption.
Indeed, the customers in the store seem to think the whole situation is hilarious. There is a mix of delighted screeches and nervous giggling in the background.
Narumpa makes a second joke in her caption, saying: “It’s hot. Can I use the air conditioner? Haha.”
No one seems too frightened of the monitor, despite its large size. Customers don’t flee the store, and you can see at least one other person besides Narumpa recording the lizard as it scales the wall and sits on top of the shelf.
In addition to her viral video, Narumpa also posts a selfie with her face and the lizard on top of the shelf in the background.
