A video of an eight-year-old girl steering her parents’ SUV on a wild 25-minute ride to a shopping complex in Ohio has gone viral on social media.
The video shows the little girl swerving across the lane as she prompted an alarmed motorist, Justin Kimrey, to call the police as he believed he was witnessing an adult driving recklessly, New York Post reported, citing a local report.
“There’s a guy in a car, he’s like right behind me. He’s swerving all over, he’s swerving everywhere like in all the lanes,” Kimrey said in the video, as reported by New York Post.
Kimrey was unaware that a little girl was at the wheel. After several minutes, he realised who was driving the car.

According to reports, Police in Bainbridge Township found the missing vehicle parked outside a shopping complex, about 10 miles (approximately 16 kilometres) away from the girl’s home. Inside the store, they found her happily shopping with $400 (Rs 33,000 approximately) in hand.
As per the New York Post, the girl later joked about the incident in a post on Facebook that they (the police) let “her finish her Frappuccino” before taking her back to her parents.
While no injuries were reported during the ride, the girl did admit to smashing a mailbox which left a dent in her parents’ car. Police contacted her parents but stated she wouldn’t face any charges due to her age.
