PARIS (Gray News) – The U.S. won gold and set a world record in the 4×100-meter mixed relay at the Paris Olympics on Saturday.
The U.S. team of Ryan Murphy, Nic Fink, Gretchen Walsh and Torri Huske set a world record with a reported winning time of 3:37.43.
China took home the silver, finishing 15-hundredths of a second behind, and Australia took the bronze.
It was the sixth gold for the Americans in the swimming pool. The team currently trails Australia by one.
The world record was the second gold of the day in the pool for the U.S. as Katie Ledecky continued her own dominance by winning her 9th gold medal earlier in the day in the 800m freestyle.
