US Open Predictions: Tips From The Women’s Semi-Finals At Flushing Meadows

The women’s US Open semi-finals take place in the early hours of Friday morning and The Panel have tips from both matches.

US Open Betting Tips: Sabalenka To Storm Through

Two-time Australian Open champion Aryna Sabalenka is the overwhelming 2/9 favourite with betting sites to defeat home hope Emma Navarro on Arthur Ashe tonight.

In a tournament where many of the favourites have failed to deliver in both the men’s and women’s games, Sabalenka has been nearly flawless, dropping just one set in the third round in what turned out to be nothing more than a minor blip.

Navarro promises to be the second seed’s toughest test having beaten the Belarusian in three sets in Indian Wells earlier this year, although Sabalenka avenged that defeat at the French Open.

Although Navarro will have the crowd on her side, The Panel believe Sabalenka will pull through by under 20.5 games which has been the case in all but one of her five matches.

US Open Tennis Tips: Pegula Heading For Maiden Slam Final

Jessica Pegula and Karolina Muchova have been two of the best players to watch at this year’s US Open, and their semi-final clash has all the makings of a fantastic encounter.

Pegula had previously never advanced past the quarter-final stage of a grand slam, but she looks well placed to reach her first final when she takes on Muchova, appearing in the last four of the US Open for the second successive year.

The American is a best-priced 13/20 with betting apps, with her opponent priced at 11/8.

Neither woman has dropped a set throughout the tournament, but Pegula’s run has been the most impressive, having beaten world No 1 and top seed Iga Swiatek in straight sets in the quarter-finals.

The American star also has a lot of momentum on her side, losing just one of her last 15 matches, a final defeat to Sabalenka in the Cincinnati Open three weeks ago. The backing of the US crowd is also likely to be a major factor.

That isn’t to say Muchova hasn’t looked great throughout the tournament. The Czech star dismantled Beatriz Haddad Maia in the last round and defeated fifth seed Jasmine Paolini, the Wimbledon runner-up, in the round of 16.

Pegula beat Muchova in three sets en route to the final in Cincinnati and The Panel believe another 2-1 victory looks the way to go at 16/5 with Ladbrokes.

The Panel’s US Open Tennis Prediction 2: Jessica Pegula To Beat Karolina Muchova 2-1 – 16/5 With Ladbrokes
