The U.S. News & World Report has released its “2025 Best Elementary and Middle School Rankings.”
The rankings were based on data obtained from the U.S. Department of Education, the newsroom said in a statement. The report includes over 79,000 public schools that are ranked at the state and district level.
The study focused on state assessments of students who were proficient or above proficient in mathematics and reading and or language arts while also taking into consideration the student’s background and achievement in core subjects, U.S. News & World said. Student-teacher ratios are also considered to break ties in the overall score.
