Traffic Advisory for Downtown Snoqualmie: July 2024

Starting in late July and early August, contractors for the City of Snoqualmie will initiate two critical infrastructure improvement projects in downtown Snoqualmie.

These projects include restoring two Kimball Creek bridges on Meadowbrook Way SE and installing a new sewer line and sidewalk on 384th Ave SE.

Meadowbrook Way SE Closure:

  • Location: Between Railroad Ave/SR 202 and the eastern edge of the City limits
  • Detour Route: Railroad Ave to Stone Quarry Road to SE North Bend Way
  • Start Date: Late July
  • Completion Date: End of 2024

384th Ave SE Lane Reduction:

  • Location: Approximately half-mile stretch for sewer line installation
  • Traffic Control: One lane will remain open with flaggers managing traffic
  • Detour Route: Established and marked
  • Start Date: Early August
  • Duration: Approximately eight weeks

The sewer installation project will also include the construction of a new sidewalk, which, due to groundwater concerns, is slated to begin in spring 2025.

Drivers are advised to plan for potential delays in the downtown area. Project schedules are weather-dependent.

Project Funding:

Both projects are part of the City’s 2023-2028 Capital Improvement Plan, with $62,000 for the Kimball Creek Bridge Restoration funded by a contribution from the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe.

The City appreciates residents’ understanding and patience as these essential infrastructure improvements are carried out. For more updates, follow the City of Snoqualmie website and social media channels.
