Every year Apple releases new technology and hot device iterations to the market. This much awaited event has consumers and tech nerds alike itching to see what’s around the corner. We’ve already seen the launch of the Vision Pro headset and upgraded MacBook’s and iPads, but in typical Apple style the rumoured releases aren’t over just yet! Read on to find out more about Apple’s new iPhone, Watch and AirPods.
Latest iPhone’s
It’s no surprise that this year another iPhone is set the be released. The iPhone 16 and 16 Pro models are expected to come with an Action button, just like last year’s iPhone 15 Pro and a dedicated camera capture button for better camera useability. This capture button is said to include a small inbuilt pressure sensor to detect multiple levels of pressure just like a regular camera – applying less pressure to focus and more pressure to capture. We can also expect to see the next iteration of A-series chip, the A18 (Apple’s mobile chipset on 3-nanometer process).
On the other hand, upgrades to screen display sizes from 6.1inch in the 15 Pro to 6.3inch in the 16 Pro, and 6.5inchs in the 15 Pro Max to 6.9inch in the 16 Pro Max are said to come this year. Other features previously reserved for the Pro Max will be shared across the 16 Pro, like the 5x telephoto camera and an upgraded 48-megapixel Ultra-Wide camera. We have seen a few other rumours leaked like the potential for a slightly bigger (9.25%) battery cell, and a new gold/bronze colour – however these have not been confirmed.
Latest Apple Watches
This year will mark the 10th generation of Apple watch! We can’t believe it’s already been 10 years! It’s been rumoured that this year’s version will come with a slightly larger 2inch display up to 49mm in size up from the largest current 45mm size. The watch has said to also come with a thinner design and updated magnets instead of clips to attach the watch bands on. Other rumours include an upgraded OLED display and health features like blood pressure monitoring, hypertension detection, and sleep apnea detection.
Latest Air Pods
It’s quite common to see Apple release AirPods alongside its latest flagship iPhone release. This year, leaks have specified that Apple will release two different models – a sort of “better-best” approach. The “better” AirPods will replace the current second and third generation AirPods and come with an updated H2 chip, which provides significantly better sound quality, lower distortion and increased battery life by an extra 10-20%. The “best” version will come with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) (previously limited to AirPods-Pro only), shorter stem design, USB-C, and an in-built speaker to help locate the case with the Find My app. These added features don’t come at the same cost and will attract a higher price. Another feature not relevant to all users is a software update that adds the capability for AirPods to act like a hearing aid – a simple over the counter alternative to traditional hearing aids.
With all that said, we are excited to see what is to be released on September 10th. You can learn more about the event here.
