CINCINNATI (WKRC) – U.S. News & World Report ranked a Cincinnati hospital as No. 1 in the region.
The Christ Hospital has been named the No. 1 hospital in the Cincinnati region for the tenth consecutive year. It also tied for fifth best hospital in the State of Ohio for 2024-2025.
The publication evaluated nearly 5,000 hospitals, across 15 specialties and 20 procedures and conditions. Only 11% of the evaluated hospitals earned a “Best Hospital” ranking.
Hospitals that earned the designation excelled at factors such as the following:

The Christ Hospital shared that it was recognized in the Top 10% in the region for orthopedic care and ranked as “High Performing” in areas of care for the following procedures and conditions:
- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
- Heart attack, heart bypass surgery
- Leukemia/lymphoma/myeloma
To calculate the rankings, the publication evaluated each hospital’s performance on measures such as risk-adjusted mortality rates, level of nursing care and preventable complications.

To celebrate its tenth year as U.S. News & World Report’s best hospital in the Cincinnati Metro Area, The Christ Hospital announced that all babies born at its Mount Auburn or Liberty Birthing Centers on Tuesday, July 16 would receive an exclusive “1# from Day 1” onesie.
