Two new businesses are set to come to a popular Connecticut open-air shopping mall this year.

VIO Med Spa and Warby Parker have been announced as the newest additions to The Shops at Farmington Valley in Canton, according to the companies.

VIO Med Spa, a medical and aesthetics spa, will make its Connecticut debut at The Shops. VIO Med Spa offers “cutting-edge technologies and therapies” including IV Therapy, hair growth therapies, laser hair removal, RF Microneedling, various light therapies, and multiple skin and other offerings, according to its website.

The business has 42 locations across 15 states, with 20 additional locations scheduled to open by the end of the year nationwide. VIO Med Spa also has locations in nearby New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts.

Eyewear retailer Warby Parker is also set to open its first location in the Farmington Valley. The location will carry the brand’s assortment of optical and sun eyewear, daily contact lenses, third-party contact lenses, and accessories, according to a statement. The location will also offer in-store eye exams.

Warby Parker was founded in 2010 with “to inspire and impact the world with vision,” according to its website. Headquartered in New York City, the business has more than 250 retail stores in the U.S. and Canada. Warby Parker also has locations in Darien, Greenwich, Norwalk, The Shops at Yale in New Haven and at Westfarms Mall in Farmington.

“We are thrilled to welcome Warby Parker and VIO Med Spa, as the newest additions coming to The Shops at Farmington Valley later this year,” said Elizabeth Ackerman, general manager at The Shops at Farmington Valley.

The announcement of two news businesses comes after Sweetgreen, a mission-driven restaurant specializing in healthful food options, signed a lease to open a new location at The Shops last month.
