Turkish döner restaurant headed to Chantilly shopping center

Must read

It looks like the Chantilly Crossing shopping center is getting a new Turkish restaurant. It’s going to be called Felah Village.

The restaurant is taking a roughly 4,100 s.f. space in one of the outlying parcels at the center, which sits just off Route 50 west of State Road 28.

That’s the same center with the Costco and the Target. It will be in the same building as the Chipotle restaurant and the Sushi Queen restaurant.

We haven’t been able to get much information about Felah Village yet, but from information we’ve found, we believe one of the specialties will be Yaprak Döner, also known as “leaf” döner for the thin, leaf-like slices of meat (usually veal) that are used.

Döner is a Turkish dish made from meat that is roasted on a vertical spit and sliced to be served in a pita or in a wrap.

While The Burn does not speak Turkish, we did find references online that indicate the word “felah” may mean something akin to prosperous or success. And that’s certainly what the Felah Village folks are hoping will come true for their new business.
