Departmental reports have been provided to Trenton City Hall and released to the news media.

The Trenton street crew has completed overlay work on streets that were milled. Through June, the asphalt plant has produced 10,859 tons.

The city is waiting on approval from the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) regarding the bid the city council accepted for a six-bay hangar at the airport.

Utility Director Ron Urton reported the electric crew has finished work on the 13.2-kilovolt line along Chestnut Street as far as possible until the NCMC student center construction progresses further. Crews have been working on installing service for the Taco Bell restaurant to be built at 9th and Oklahoma. Following this, poles and lights will be installed along the north side of Highway 6 west, to the Dollar General store.

Urton also reported the Irvinbilt Company is at the water treatment plant, where work is underway on the clarifier basin modification project. A DNR inspection of the water plant is scheduled for July 31.

Urton noted the 10th and Oklahoma water main contractor has finished except for seeding and mulching. Repairs were recently made on two water main leaks.

The sewer crew has installed a manhole at 6th and Jefferson. A pre-construction meeting was held on Wednesday for the next sewer lining project to be done in Trenton.

Urton continues working on a sewer and stormwater easement, the way-finding signs project, a request for proposals for in-fill housing, and specifications for work at city hall involving the back door and front desk wall extension. Urton is also preparing a funding application for the lead service line inventory project.
