Conjunction Junction
Like the 1970s animated “Schoolhouse Rock!” segment “Conjunction Junction,” we learn the function of a conjunction the fun and catchy way with today’s solar conjunction to Mercury. Life has a rhyme, rhythm and connection. Whether we choose “and” or “or” to add variety to our lives, its variations are there to be enjoyed.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). You’re constantly moving toward healthier, more fulfilling connections. And you will continue to grow into a version of yourself who trusts that even when the world feels off, you’re still a force in it. Keep holding onto that.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Because you’re so used to being you, you don’t realize that you actually possess a rare combination of traits. So, these solutions that you create are full of functional brilliance that not just anyone would come up with.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). What you did in the past might not have been entirely satisfying, even then, but it came from the best place you could manage at the time. Those complex feelings linger, but this time, you can see and exercise options with more potential to fulfill you.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). You’re clear about what you want: reciprocal interest, attentiveness and a spark of excitement. It’s not wrong to want those things — they’re fundamental, and they remind you that you’re not invisible or just a caretaker for everyone else.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). You’re aware of the tension between your joy and your obligation. To crave a specific kind of connection that brings a different energy to your life is not selfish or wrong; it’s a beautiful facet of who you are.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). Whether you feel it’s your role or not, you’re the glue of a group. They wouldn’t get together in the same way if it weren’t for you. When you make plans, you are changing the plot of everyone’s life.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). There are some things you feel you simply must have. You get the sense that you’re not going to feel complete without them. You have no idea what your goal entails, but you’re still willing to do what it takes. That’s how you know the goal is right for you.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). You love a mystery and are adept at getting to the bottom of it. But, when the mystery is embodied in a person, it’s not something to disassemble with abandon like other puzzles. Go very gently. Seek understanding of one layer at a time.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). You have the undying adoration of a superfan. Now if you could only regard yourself in the same way this person does, you’d have an enhanced inner climate. Try it. There’s no need to be so hard on yourself.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). On cold days, ancient humans would gather around the fire. Central heating has retired the habit, but something else will stand in for the “fire” today — perhaps an incendiary gossip or another hot topic.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). You’re stepping into protector mode — a sign that you care about the people and/or work you’re doing and there’s something there of value that warrants your alert readiness. You’ll read the vibes of a place and sense whether a place feels welcoming, tense or inspiring.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Your hope is not misplaced. The life you imagine, with its experiences of comfort and ease, is not only possible but inevitable if you keep walking this path of self-love and creation. Find meaning in the now.
TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (Feb. 9). There’s a sense of heightened living this year, even in the ordinary. You don’t even have to search for meaning because you get a sense of the profound in everything you’re attracted to and all that’s attracted to you. More highlights: You’ll close an impressive deal. Your work will strengthen and fix what’s important to you. A healing in the family brings everyone together. Scorpio and Pisces adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 4, 1, 12, 39 and 32.
CELEBRITY PROFILES: In recent news, Carole King continues to make her mark both musically and politically. She recently collaborated with Reba McEntire on the theme song for the sitcom “Happy’s Place,” showcasing her enduring influence in the music industry, and she has been active in political advocacy. Her Aquarian spirit of innovation and humanitarianism continues to inspire, as she seamlessly blends her artistic endeavors with her commitment to social causes. Her sun, Mercury and Venus in musical Aquarius are beautifully complemented by three major Taurus influences in her natal chart — an astrological signature that aligns with her legendary voice and timeless melodies.
