Greece, N.Y. (WHAM) – There was a two-for-one special, of sorts, at several Goodwill of the Finger Lakes stores on Tuesday.
The nonprofit chain celebrated its third annual Thrift Crawl with more than 60 thrift shoppers.
People met at the Goodwill store in Webster to begin their shopping spree; then took a bus to other locations in Brockport and Greece.
“Thrift-fluencers” say it’s a great time to get a good bargain while giving back to the community.
“There’s such a rich thrifting community of so many people who just love being able to do good, love being able to shop and find one of a kind items, and this is just a great opportunity to all come together as a group,” said Justine Wenzel.
“I have so many clothes! I can come to anything dressed up, and I’ve learned so much about sustainability, good materials, cheap materials, things that can last, mending, sewing, things I love to do,” said Monique Sullivan. “I just can’t shop retail anymore. I am a thrifter for life!
Another bus full of people also visited Goodwill stores in Victor, Macedon, and Canandaigua on Tuesday.
