The completed electricity infrastructure facilities comprise one insulated switchgear (GIS) and two 150-kilovolt transmission networks, with a value of domestic component level value 67.29 percent.
PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo in the company’s statement cited here on Sunday noted that his side is committed to fully supporting the government’s efforts to develop Nusantara as a smart, beautiful, and eco-friendly forest city.
“We are committed to supporting the actualization of green electricity at the IKN, which is envisioned as the best capital city equipped with sophisticated technology that makes use of clean energy resources,” he emphasized.
PLN’s success in developing the three electricity infrastructure facilities had led Indonesia to another step closer to the completion of the IKN development, he added.
He further remarked that the newly completed electricity infrastructure facilities are expected to help the government prepare for the national commemoration ceremony of Indonesia’s Independence Day planned to be chaired by President Joko Widodo in Nusantara on August 17.
“PLN has continued to prepare an electricity system while referring to the grand design for the IKN development, including to prepare for the holding of the 79th Independence Day Anniversary ceremony in August. We have prepared everything to make the historic moment a success,” he emphasized.
Meanwhile, General Manager of PLN’s East Kalimantan Development Unit Raja Muda Siregar noted that his side had succeeded in swiftly completing the development of the three electricity infrastructure facilities without disrupting the existing electricity system.
“We were successful in conducting initial energizing on the three infrastructure facilities without disrupting the existing electricity system. It took us less than a year to complete all the processes,” he said.
He underlined that the two transmission networks stretch 52.8 kilometers in total, while the GIS has the capacity of 120 megavolt ampere and is the first of its kind in East Kalimantan.
