Thomas Edward Fisher (“Fish”), 70, of Fredonia, NY, passed away Friday May 31, 2024 at the Chautauqua Nursing & Rehab Center after an eight month battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born July 19, 1953 in Dunkirk, son of Chester and Henrietta (Graves) Fisher. Raised in Fredonia, Tom was a graduate of Fredonia High School. Tom, known for his passion and common sense approach to police work, had a long and distinguished career as a policeman as he served with the Fredonia Police Department for 47 years. Not only did he serve the Fredonia community as a policeman, but he was also a 50 year member of the J.S. Lambert Hook and Ladder Company and The Fredonia Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. Tom “Fish” was a trustee of the Lambert Hook and Ladder Company and past Vice President. Tom was also President of the Fredonia Exempt Fireman’s Association. He received his recognition in May of 2023 for 50 years of service to the Department.
Tom was a member of the Fredonia Police Benevolent Association and the Fredonia Beaver Club. Also the Sons of the American Legion, American Legion 252 in Madeira Beach, FL and St. Joseph Catholic Church. He enjoyed his Harley Davidson motorcycle, cars and family vacations to Siesta Key, FL, going to auctions and Sunday polkas.
Tom is survived by: his wife of 45 years, Barbara J. (McDonald) Fisher; two daughters: Kelley (Robert) Masten of Venice, FL and Lindsey Fisher (Bobby Kozlowski) of Dunkirk; granddaughter, Emma Masten of Venice, FL; two grandsons: Camden Kozlowski and Colson Kozlowski of Dunkirk, and a brother, Gene (Carmella) Fisher, of Jamestown, NY.
Besides his parents, Chester and Henrietta Fisher Tom is predeceased by his in-laws, William and Doris McDonald.

Visitation will be Thursday from 10am -12:30 pm at the LARSON-TIMKO Funeral Home, 20 Central Ave., Fredonia, NY, followed by Mass of Christian at St. Joseph Church, 145 E.
