These are the most popular Halloween costumes in Boston, according to Google ‘Frightgeist’ – The Boston Globe

Must read

The second most-popular costume in the Boston area? A minion, one of the little yellow creatures from the “Despicable Me” movies. And at No. 3: Lydia Deetz, the goth teen and star of 1988’s “Beetlejuice” (played by Winona Ryder) — and the goth mom and star of the 2024 sequel, “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” (also played by Winona Ryder).

In fact, “Beetlejuice” costumes are proving to be popular not just in Boston, but across the country this Halloween. On the “Frightgeist” list of the Top 25 costumes nationwide, two “Beetlejuice” characters — Shrunken Head Bob and Delores, Beetlejuice’s ex-wife — rank as the No. 1 and No. 4 most searched costumes, respectively. (Lydia Deetz ranks at No. 23 nationwide.)
