The six early stage firms that will lock horns in the World Aviation Festival Start-Up Competition – Aviation Business News

World Aviation Festival has revealed the six start-ups that will pitch at this year’s event in Amsterdam in October.

The finalists will compete in the 2024 Start-Up Pitch Competition that last year was won by virtual shopping maul Interlnkd.

World Aviation Festival said the shortlisted companies “represent the future of aviation technology, offering ground breaking solutions that address key challenges in the industry”.

A spokesperson from the World Aviation Festival said, “The Start-Up Pitch Competition is one of the most exciting events of the festival, and this year’s finalists have truly pushed the boundaries of innovation.

“These start-ups are addressing critical challenges in the aviation industry, from accessibility and sustainability to technology and passenger experience.”

The Start-Up Pitch Competition will take place on October 8 and will highlight the following companies:

  • myPlane
  • Navi Savi
  • PRM Assist
  • Traveldax
  • Ubloquity

Most: Provides payment solutions designed for the mobility sector, allowing retailers to modernise their payment infrastructure. The company’s modular approach aims to enhance the efficiency of retail environments.

myPlane: Focuses on the charter flight industry, offering a platform to streamline sales and distribution of flights. The platform supports more transparent, simplified operations for airlines and other stakeholders.

Navi Savi: A travel content platform featuring short-form videos that help users discover destinations and book travel experiences. The service connects businesses and consumers through user-generated video content.

PRM Assist: Develops technology to improve airport services for passengers with reduced mobility. Its solutions help airports streamline the booking and management of assistance, enhancing overall operational efficiency.

Traveldax: Utilises AI to collect and analyse pricing data for airlines and online travel agencies (OTAs). The company’s insights support dynamic pricing strategies, helping optimise revenue management.

Ubloquity: Specialises in blockchain-based solutions for the aviation supply chain. Its technology aims to improve transparency, security, and efficiency across various transaction processes in the industry.
