After a late start, Android 15 is now rolling out to Pixel phones with the latest monthly updates, and the floodgates are starting to open for other brands as well.
Google first released Android 15 to AOSP in September, but delayed the update for Pixel devices until just this week. And, with that, it seems as though the floodgates are officially open for further updates to Android 15 for non-Pixel devices.
Motorola has already started rolling out Android 15 to the Edge 50 Fusion alongside an October 2024 security update, though apparently in a beta of sorts. An initial list of Motorola devices set to be updated was spotted last week, but there’s no official timeline in place from Motorola.
Asus, meanwhile, this week announced a preview program for the ROG Phone 8.
Prior to those, Vivo announced its Android 15 rollout a couple of weeks ago, with the rollout set to begin soon on Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, Vivo X100, and iQOO 12.
Oppo is also set to announce further details today, October 17. OnePlus is also expected to announce details around OxygenOS 15 later this month, as the company is teasing online.
A notable omission for the time being will be Samsung, as the company has confirmed that One UI 7, based on Android 15, is delayed into 2025.
