Tenth Annual MainSweet Dessert Walk offers sweet samples and shopping in downtown Libertyville

Enjoy a sampling of sweet treats and explore downtown Libertyville’s shops and restaurants at the 10th Annual MainSweet Dessert Walk hosted by MainStreet Libertyville from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3, during the Festival of the Arts.

Pick up an event ticket with a map of participating shops and restaurants starting at 11:30 a.m. at the MainStreet Libertyville tent located in Cook Park near Church Street. The event begins at noon when ticket holders may begin their walk through downtown Libertyville to sample tasty desserts and experience Libertyville’s independently-owned boutiques and restaurants.

Participating downtown Libertyville merchants include Allure Designs Salon + Boutique, As Above So Below, Bootery Boutique, Duck Donuts, How Impressive!, The Joyful Gourmet, Main Street Social, Maison Chic, Oh Olive!, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Rolland’s Jewelers, Sugarville, Sweet Home Gelato and Twelve Paws Pet Supply.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 on the day of the event (subject to availability). Ticket holders will receive a dessert sample at each participating location; ticket sharing is permitted. Purchase tickets in advance to guarantee participation; this popular summer event usually sells out.

Plenty of free parking is available in the two covered parking garages on Lake Street and Church Street. Downtown Libertyville is also easily accessible via Metra’s Milwaukee District North train line. The train station is conveniently located in downtown Libertyville near the shops and restaurants.
