Target Corporation (NYSE:TGT) said it is kicking off the back-to-school and back-to-college shopping seasons with a list of 20 “must-have” supplies for under $20 total. The list offers 20 popular supplies – like Mondo Llama 12-pack colored pencils, up&up liquid glue, notebooks, and more. The retailer also said that it is offering its lowest priced backpack in over ten years at a list price of $5.
As part of its focus on value, Target (TGT) is introducing new savings for back-to-school and back-to-college through its exclusive brands like Cat & Jack, Art Class, Mondo Llama, Room Essentials and Brightroom, alongside national brand favorites like Crayola, Jansport, and more.
As part of the retailer’s previously announced price reductions, Target (TGT) said consumers will also experience lower prices on thousands of food and beverage items as they shop for school lunches, after school snacks and weeknight meals, including bread, peanut butter, produce, lunchbox snacks, crackers, fruit snacks, cookies, kids’ beverages, and more.
Shares of Target (TGT) rose 1.30% in premarket trading on Monday. The consumer stock has traded flat over the last four weeks. Target (TGT) is not expected to report earnings until the third or fourth week of August.
