The Susanville City Council is gearing up for a packed agenda this Wednesday at their regular meeting, set for 5 p.m. in City Hall. Here’s what’s coming up:
The council will consider accepting a generous $2,000 donation from the Walmart Spark Good Foundation. The funds are earmarked for the Fire and Police Departments.5
A proposed contract with Sunrise Engineering Inc. could pave the way for a 2,100-foot extension of the city’s natural gas pipeline. This project aims to improve utility infrastructure.
Another item will authorize the Mayor to sign an agreement with Interstate Gas Services Inc. for consulting on the city’s natural gas utility operations.
The council will discuss a budget amendment and agreement with Caltrans for revisions to the Riverside Drive Trail Project, an ongoing effort to enhance the community’s outdoor spaces.
The council may approve a street closure to support Sacred Heart Church’s annual procession for Our Lady of Guadalupe on December 8th. If passed, Nevada and Union streets will be closed briefly from 12 to 1 p.m. that day.
Another item seeks approval to increase the golf course community services budget by $7,500 for repairs to the well pump near the Wingfield Clubhouse at Diamond Mountain Golf Course.

- A second reading of an ordinance amending the city’s revenue and finance code is on the table.
- The council will review a contract with PACE Engineering, Inc. for a much-needed HVAC replacement at the Susanville Fire Department.
