BROCTON — Students of the month for May at Brocton Central Schools have been announced.
Kevin Houser was selected by the Brocton Middle School faculty and staff. He is currently an eighth-grader and is the son of Stephanie Rummings and Kevin Houser Sr. of Brocton.
He is a member of Chorus. His accolades include being named to the High Honor Roll and Honor Roll. His hobbies are playing video games and riding bikes.
His favorite subjects are Science, Social Studies and Math. In the future, Kevin would like to be a lawyer or astronomer. He also plans to serve his community through community service.
Grace Perry was selected by the Brocton High School faculty and staff. She is currently a sophomore and is the daughter of Tammy Wilson of Brocton.
She is the treasurer for National Junior Honor Society and secretary for the Class of 2026. Her accolades include being named to the High Honor Roll every quarter this school year. She has also had various pieces of artwork selected for local art shows.
Her favorite subjects include Global Studies and Ceramics. She truly enjoys learning about history and how it has changed the future. She also finds great reward in taking a lump of clay and forming it into a functional item.
In her free time, Grace partakes in baking, cooking, painting and gardening. She enjoys sharing her baked goods with others. She recently found a love for fitness. She also enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Next year, she will be attending BOCES to study Automotive Body Repair. In the future, she would like to further her love for science by studying dietetics and possibly become a Registered Dietitian.
