Street Rods donate to charities

The Lakeshore Street Rod Association distributed four checks totalling $10,000 to charities from the funds raised in July during the Point Gratiot event. Receiving checks were: Carol Oliveira, representing Dunkirk-Fredonia Meals on Wheels; Rich Carpenter, representing Lakeshore Humane Society; Michael Rauh, representing Chautauqua County Veterans out of the Jamestown Office; Richard Goodman, representing Spoke Folk. Officers representing the Streetrodders were Tom Kwiatowski, president; Dan Salerno, treasurer; and Dale Davis, vice president; along with members of the club. The group reports there were 800 cars this year on a beautiful day at the Point.
