NEWARK, DE – Delaware State Police are actively investigating a robbery and subsequent shooting that took place at the Salem Village Square Shopping Center in Newark. The incident occurred on June 12, 2024, around 11:31 AM.
Upon arrival at the scene, troopers were informed that three unidentified suspects had assaulted and robbed a male victim inside The Smoke Shop, located at 13 Salem Village Square. Following the robbery, the suspects made an escape in a white car. In response, the victim retrieved a firearm from his vehicle and fired several shots at the suspects’ car as it exited the parking lot. The victim then left the scene shortly after.
The Troop 2 Robbery Unit is continuing the investigation and is seeking assistance from the public. Detectives are working to identify and locate all individuals involved in this violent encounter. Wilkes-Barre Police File Charges in Assault Case
WILKES-BARRE, PA – The Wilkes-Barre City Police Department is investigating an assault that occurred on June 12, 2024, at 1037 North Washington Street. The incident took place at approximately 6:17 PM.
Authorities were called to the scene following a report of an assault. Upon arrival, officers met with the 31-year-old female victim, who reported that she had been involved in a verbal altercation with a coworker. During the altercation, the defendant, identified as 32-year-old Namir Lester of Wilkes-Barre, allegedly struck the victim and then fled the scene.
The police have since filed charges against Lester in connection with the assault. Further details of the incident and the nature of the charges are being handled by the local authorities as they continue their investigation.

Woodbridge Man Sentenced for Fatal Hit and Run
WOODBRIDGE, NJ – Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Woodbridge Police Department Director Robert Hubner announced the sentencing of 23-year-old Antonio Rivera of Woodbridge in connection with a deadly hit-and-run crash that occurred last year.
On August 31, 2023, at approximately 5:39 PM, Woodbridge Police were called to the intersection of Woodbridge Center Drive and Plaza Drive following a hit-and-run report. Upon arrival, they discovered 45-year-old Kristen Bruschi of Fords, NJ, severely injured after being struck by a black Ford Mustang while crossing the street with her bicycle. The vehicle involved had fled the scene. Bruschi was rushed to the hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
The investigation, led by Sergeant Joseph Angelo of the Woodbridge Police Department and Detective James Alleva of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, identified Rivera as the driver. Rivera was apprehended on September 1, 2023, after he admitted during questioning to being at the wheel at the time of the accident. He was subsequently arrested and charged with Leaving the Scene of a Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash among other related offenses.

Erie Police Seek Assistance to Identify Burglary Suspect
ERIE, PA – The Erie Police Department is requesting the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a recent burglary. The incident occurred on May 30, 2024, in the 700 block of State Street.
Authorities have released photographs of the suspect and are asking anyone with information or who can identify the individual in the images to come forward. Those with information are urged to contact Detective Stevens at (814) 870-1514.

Montgomery County Police Seek Public’s Help to Identify Theft and Assault Suspect
BETHESDA, MD – The Montgomery County Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a theft and assault incident. The event took place on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, in the 7000 block of Democracy Boulevard at the Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda.
According to the initial investigation, the incident occurred at approximately 1:24 PM when the suspect, accompanied by a known accomplice, entered Macy’s and stole property. When confronted by loss prevention personnel, the suspects assaulted the employee and subsequently fled the scene.
The police have released surveillance photos of the suspect and are urging anyone with information about her identity to come forward. Clifton Police Report Increase in Nighttime Residential Burglaries
CLIFTON, NJ – The Clifton Police Department is alerting residents to a recent surge in nighttime residential burglaries, including a significant incident in the Montclair Heights section of the city.
Early this morning, around 3:15 AM, an attempted burglary occurred on Robin Hood Road, where at least four male suspects tried to steal a vehicle from a homeowner’s driveway. The homeowner confronted the suspects, leading to an altercation during which a gunshot was fired by the homeowner. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as the suspects fled the scene in a silver or grey colored sedan.
These incidents are part of a broader trend in the region, prompting the police to urge residents to remain vigilant in securing their homes and vehicles. Both recent burglary attempts are currently under investigation.
