PALO ALTO, CA — Stanford Shopping Center is undergoing a major redevelopment, bringing new luxury retail and dining experiences to the beloved Palo Alto shopping destination.
The transformation, announced by Simon, the center’s owner, will introduce exclusive restaurants and high-end retailers to further enhance the guest experience.
Two major culinary additions will be Zaytinya, an Eastern Mediterranean restaurant by James Beard Award-winning chef José Andrés, and Dumpling Time, an Asian-inspired eatery. Both are set to open in the second quarter of 2025. These restaurants will join an expanded retail space designed to attract luxury shoppers and food enthusiasts alike.
The redevelopment project repurposes approximately 78,000 square feet of retail and dining space, connected by a pedestrian walkway for easy access. The new development, located on the north side of the center near El Camino Real and Sand Hill Road, aims to reinforce Stanford Shopping Center’s reputation as a premier luxury destination.
The transformation began with the 2024 opening of RH, which introduced a three-story indoor-outdoor experience featuring luxury home furnishings, art, and a rooftop restaurant.
Additionally, renowned fashion boutique Wilkes Bashford recently relocated to a 29,000-square-foot flagship store within the redevelopment, strengthening the center’s high-end retail offerings.
“Our ongoing redevelopment at Stanford Shopping Center showcases our commitment to creating a must-visit destination that blends luxury shopping with diverse culinary experiences,” said Angie Pyszczynski, General Manager at Stanford Shopping Center. “The additions of RH, Wilkes Bashford, Zaytinya, and Dumpling Time enrich our impressive lineup of retailers and restaurants, providing a memorable experience for our guests.”
The shopping center continues to attract high-end retailers, with recent additions including Hermès, Rolex, TUMI, and Weekend Max Mara. Other brands like Frame and New Balance opened ahead of the 2024 holiday season, while Anton SV Patisserie is set to debut in 2025.
