Oldenburg Academy and Lawrenceburg played to a 1-1 tie in boys’ soccer last night. Conner Holder scored the Twisters’ lone goal in the first half. The Tigers scored the tying goal on a penalty kick in the second half.

North Decatur won a four-team girls golf match at Kelly’s Hidden Acres in Milan yesterday. The Chargers carded a team score of 234; South Ripley was 2nd at 243; Jac-Cen-Del came in 3rd at 246, and Lawrenceburg finished 4th at 263. The Raiders Lilly Jones took medalist honors with a 48.

Batesville and Greensburg split in middle school volleyball. The Bulldogs took the 7th grade match two games to one, while the Pirates won in 8th grade action two games to none.

The Blue Jays clubbed the Reds 10-3 in Toronto last night. Reds starting pitcher Carson Spiers gave up five home runs, which is the most allowed by the team this season. Spiers surrendered 10 runs – nine earned – on 13 hits over 4 1/3 innings. At the plate, Noevli Marte, Spencer Steer and Tyler Stephenson drove in the three Cincinnati runs. With the loss, the Reds fall to 61-65 and 6 ½ games back from the last National League Wild Card spot. The rubber match of the three-game series is tonight. Coverage begins at 6:37 on 103.9 FM.

The Colts and Bengals held a joint practice yesterday in Cincinnati prior to Thursday night’s NFL preseason game at Paycor Stadium. Indianapolis head coach Shane Steichen says he will play his starters against Cincinnati. Bengals coach Zac Taylor says his team’s starters will not play Thursday vs. Indy.
