Girls soccer: Sehome at Lynden
4:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 15 at Bender Fields
After losing two early games this season, Sehome has jumped into second place in the Northwest conference with a 8-1 league record. The Mariners will head to Lynden to face one of the top offenses in the state. Lynden (9-0) is averaging more than four goals per game. The Lions’ Evelyn Saldivar leads the conference with 17 goals scored this season.
WWU women’s soccer vs. MSU Billings
7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 17 at Harrington Field
Western women’s soccer has slowly improved this season. In the last four games, the Vikings have scored a goal and either tied or won. The Vikings are ranked third in the Great Athletic Northwest Conference while MSU Billings is fourth.
Bremerton Sockeyes at Bellingham Blazers hockey
7:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 18 at Bellingham Sportsplex
The Bellingham Blazers are a part of the National Collegiate Development Conference. The junior hockey team has several local players competing at a high level at the Bellingham Sportsplex. The Blazers will be facing the new Bremerton Sockeyes for their first home game of the month.
