Despite losing some of its top playmakers from last season, Mount Vernon begins the season with a 2-2 record. The Bulldogs have won their two games by an average of 21 points. Nooksack Valley is 3-1 and has only allowed 180 points in those matchups.

This will be the last time fans can watch a Western sports event in person until next year, and the Vikings will be heavily favored. The 6-3 (0-2 in conference) Vikings sit seventh in the conference standings.

Mount Vernon’s cross country program will host a 5K community fun run/walk around Del Trail. Participants will receive a T-shirt and Santa hat and will be led by a team of reindeer at the start.
