Snoop Dogg’s daughter, Cori Broadus, had an emotional reaction while shopping for her wedding dress.
The cosmetics entrepreneur, 25, has been documenting her road to the altar with fiancé Wayne Deuce, 32, in the E! docuseries “Snoop’s Fatherhood: Cori and Wayne’s Story,” which aired its first part on Thursday, Dec. 5.
On the show, Broadus cried after she tried on a wedding gown, revealing she struggles with her body image.
“I’m really loving the idea of getting married but being the center of attention is kind of scary,” she said in a confessional interview.
“I wear baggy clothes because I’m not the most confident with my natural body,” she explained of her day-to-day style.
When Broadus tried on a tight-bodice wedding dress with a thigh-slit, her friends that accompanied her on the shopping trip praised the look — but Cori was less than thrilled.
“It just wasn’t what I really wanted,” she said in the confessional.
At the dress shop, Broadus said she doesn’t “like” her body. “I hate my body,” she told her friends. “Do you see how I dress on the daily? I wear big clothes so people can’t see how I naturally look.”
Wiping away tears, Cori brushed off the emotions, telling her pals that she was only “having a moment.”
“I just don’t like how my body looks in this,” she added.
During her confessional, Broadus also admitted that she sometimes feels like “an outcast.”
“I am the bigger friend. I am the chocolate friend. I am the sick friend,” she said, referring to her battle with lupus at the age of 6. She also suffered a stroke earlier this year.
“It reminded me like, OK, that’s why I don’t go shopping, and that’s why I do dress the way that I do dress because I don’t like feeling like this when I put clothes on,” she explained of the shopping experience.
“My dress, it’s not making me feel safe or sexy. I think what probably makes me feel that way too is that all my friends, they little. I’m on the heavier side.”
She continued, “The truth is I’m battling with myself every day. It’s just so weird to me that Wayne got on one knee and sometimes I be like, ‘Why?’ Like, ‘Why do you love me this much? What are you seeing?’ I think trying on the dress kind of brought me back to that place.”
Deuce proposed to Broadus in November 2022.
The pair had planned on getting married earlier this year but their wedding was pushed back after Broadus’ stroke.
Snoop recently revealed what gift he got his daughter for their wedding — $1 million!
“It’s the truth, but the only thing about this gift is she never got to open it, or she hasn’t opened it yet,” he shared during an appearance on “The Jennifer Hudson Show” this week. “It was a million dollars for her wedding.”
The second part of “Snoop Dogg’s Fatherhood: Cori and Wayne’s Story” drops Thursday, Dec. 12, at 10 p.m. ET on E!
