Skuld appoints Matthew Bayman as SVP of Business Development – Reinsurance News

Marine insurance provider Skuld has announced the appointment of Matthew Bayman as Senior Vice President (SVP) of Business Development, effective early 2025.

Bayman will report directly to Gregory Thomas, Chief Business Development Officer at Skuld.

In his new role, Bayman will collaborate closely with Skuld’s underwriting and business development teams across all marine insurance lines.

Ståle Hansen, President and CEO of Skuld, expressed enthusiasm for Bayman’s appointment, stating, “I am delighted that Matthew has chosen to join Skuld; his knowledge and reputation will help us achieve our ambitious growth targets. He will be a valuable asset to our business development team and contribute to our vision of being a world-leading marine insurer.”

Thomas added, “It is not very often that you are able to secure someone of Matthew’s calibre within the world of marine insurance. He will be a key member of the underwriting and business development team. Bayman brings over two decades of experience in the marine insurance industry to his new role. He previously held various senior roles at a London-based P&I provider.
