MCLEAN, VA — Two new retail outlets opened this week in McLean’s Chesterbrook Shopping Center, according to Federal Realty Investment Trust.
SkinSpirit, which specializes in medical aesthetics and skincare for face and body, opened its first location in Virginia on Tuesday at 6224 Old Dominion Drive, Suite 6D in McLean. The shop is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday; 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday; and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday.
Founding in Georgetown in 1999, bluemercury offers luxury cosmetics, skin care, makeup, perfume, hair, and bath & body products.

The bluemercury store at 6230 Old Dominion Drive in McLean is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., on Saturday; and 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Deirdre Johnson, Federal’s senior vice president of asset management, said Chesterbrook is solidifying its transformation in the McLean for residents and visitors.
“The addition of industry leaders such as bluemercury and Skinspirit, alongside the upcoming arrival of Call Your Mother, Sorn Thai, and Small Door Veterinary, underscores Federal’s commitment to enhancing the customer experience with a diverse array of premier services and offerings,” she said, in a release. “These new additions will provide unparalleled convenience, quality, and choice, further elevating Chesterbrook as a preferred destination.”
The McLean community will soon see three other businesses coming to Chesterbrook, accoring to Federal’s release:
- Call Your Mother: the popular D.C. bagel shop opened a mobile “Lil Deli: truck at Chesterbrook in spring 2023 and will soon occupy a permanent space next to bluemercury. The “Lil Deli” will remain in operation until the new space is ready in July 2024.
- Sorn Thai: A new concept from the team behind Donsak is anticipated to open in late-2024. Inspired by owner Supisa “Boom” Teabut’s grandmother, Sorn, the menu will be based on her recipes featuring southern Thai dishes, including pad Thai and pad see ew.
- Small Door Veterinary: Opening in spring of 2025, the membership-based veterinary care provider delivers cutting-edge services and superior veterinary care for pets while providing a personalized, modern, and convenient experience for pet parents.
