New Zealand-based corporate travel technology provider Serko has named Simon Young as chief technology officer, effective immediately. Young joined Serko in 2023 as vice president of engineering; prior to Serko he held executive roles as chief product and technology officer at Trade Me and vice president of engineering at Halter. He has been acting as the CTO since April.
Formally in his new role, Young will focus on fostering innovation and enhancing product development through new technologies. He will also lead the Serko team to optimize the current technology infrastructure “to meet the evolving needs” of Serko’s current clients and partners, according to a Serko release. In a statement Young defined Serko’s technology goal to “accelerate our global
ambitions in business travel.”
