SILVER CREEK — The Silver Creek Business Department is proud to announce that Kendal Brunn has been named Outstanding Business Student of the Year.
She is being honored with this award based on her involvement with the Business Department and her academic accomplishments throughout her high school career.
She is currently taking Advanced Accounting her senior year, when many students want to “take it easy.” She also has taken 5 other college credit bearing courses through Jamestown Community College Connections; English 1510, Public Speaking, BUS 1610 Personal Finance, BUS 1700 Tourism and Hospitality, and Pre-Calculus.
Kendal has demonstrated her enthusiasm and drive through her extended participation in clubs such as: Key Club, and Business Club. She has taken an active role in the Accounting Department of the Knight’s Korner Store here on campus which is run by the Business Club. She prepares payroll and prepares the daily sales and deposits.
She is a leader in Key Club and has 20 plus hours of service within the Silver Creek community.
She has also excelled in her business courses and was inducted into the New York State Business and Marketing Honor Society in the spring of 2024.
Kendal is an independent learner who is also willing to give a hand to others. She even found time and was elected as Secretary of her senior class. In addition to her academic success, Kendal works at Sullivan’s Charbroil in Fredonia. She will be attending Jamestown Community College in the fall, majoring in business.
She was honored by receiving a plaque on the Outstanding Business Students Wall of Fame and will receive her scholarship and award at the SCCS Class Night event on Friday, June 14.
