The Dunkirk Senior Center will be celebrating “Happy Birthday Lucille Ball” on Tuesday, Aug. 6 with a cake and ice cream social. Doors open at noon. Cake and ice cream will be served at 12:30 p.m. The group will enjoy an episode of “I Love Lucy.” The cost is $2 per member. Tickets go on sale in the Center office on Monday, July 22.
The Dunkirk Senior Center will be celebrating “National Senior Citizens’ Day” on Wednesday, Aug. 21 with a roast beef dinner. Doors open at 4 p.m. Dinner will be served at 4:30 p.m. consisting of a hot roast beef sandwich with gravy, mashed potatoes, vegetable and dessert. The cost is $10 per member. Sign-up for the event starts Thursday, Aug. 8 in the Center office.
Several seats remain for the trip to the Windmill Farm and Market on Aug. 17. Contact the office if interested. Reservations are also being taken for the Meadows and Wheeling, W.Va., trip in November.
Independent Health will be at the center on Thursday, Aug. 1 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to answer any questions regarding your account. Anyone can attend.

The next Big Bingo game will be Wednesday, Aug. 14. Doors open at 4 p.m. with a light supper being served at 4:30 p.m. Bingo will start at 5. Players must purchase a $2 ticket prior to the date of the bingo game. This ticket offers entry and entitles the purchaser to a jackpot card. Social time is held every Thursday at 11:30 a.m. Bring a bag lunch and play 25 cent bingo.
Pinochle is Monday and Friday at 1 p.m. Exercise class is Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 9 a.m. MahJongg is Tuesday at noon. Dominoes is Wednesday at 1 p.m. Hand and Foot Card Game is Friday at 1 p.m.
