BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) – The widening of Dedeaux Road in Gulfport is a project that has been in the works since 2005. A bill now heading to the Senate could be what officials need to see it reach the finish line.
On Thursday, the Senate Appropriations Committee approved the FY2025 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies (THUD) Appropriations Bill.

“The FY2025 THUD Appropriations bill is a fiscally responsible and thoughtfully-crafted bill that remains responsive to critical transportation, housing, and community development needs of the country,” said Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith in a press release. “We’ve worked to be good stewards of taxpayer dollars without sacrificing transportation safety or critical rental assistance programs.”
