NFL Overreactions Week 17
Sports Seriously’s Mackenzie Salmon breaks down this weeks NFL matchups.
Sports Seriously
After a sluggish 1-4 start to their campaign, the Los Angeles Rams surged in the second half of the season, securing an NFC West championship and a spot in the NFL playoffs for the sixth time in eight years.
They laid the rest of their division in the dust along the way, and that included the Seattle Seahawks. Although the Pacific Northwest birds will second in the NFC West, this season feels like a bit of a disappointment. They’ve missed the playoffs three years in a row, and eventually, they’re going to have to move on from quarterback Geno Smith. Perhaps they can take some of that disappointment out on their divisional foes, even if it won’t affect the standings.
Here are our experts’ predictions for this NFC West matchup.

Lorenzo Reyes: Seahawks 20, Rams 17
I don’t like this line either way. But if the Seahawks win, I think it’s closer than 5 points.
Richard Morin: Rams 24, Seahawks 14
The Rams still have seeding to play for, so this seems like a good play especially if Seattle stays favored.
Jordan Mendoza: Rams 20, Seahawks 17
Los Angeles is in an interesting spot; a loss and it’ll be the No. 4 seed against a tough NFC North team. Even with backups, the Rams show some urgency to secure the No. 3 spot.
