The Space Development Agency (SDA) has issued a contract for Advanced Fire Control Ground Infrastructure (AFCGI) to support demonstrations and potential future operations under the agency’s Advanced Fire Control (AFC) effort — the cost-plus award fee contract worth a maximum of approximately $117 million was awarded to Kratos Technology & Training Solutions, Inc.
As the AFCGI vendor, Kratos will lead a team of industry performers to provide a common, enduring ground infrastructure and resources to minimize cost and complexity for multiple AFC prototype efforts. Delivery of ground infrastructure by the AFCGI vendor will be critical to the successful execution of the Fire-control On Orbit-support to the warfighter (FOO Fighter or F2) prototype system and future fire-control demonstration programs.
Initial funding of approximately $17 million was obligated at the time of award, using both fiscal year 2024 and fiscal year 2025 Research, Development, Test & Evaluation funds. Space Development Agency, Washington, DC, is the contracting activity.
